Description
The guided excursion to the Lame Rosse is one of the most fascinating experiences in the Sibillini Mountains National Park. The Red Blades are red rock formations that create a unique natural spectacle, often compared to the landscapes of the American Far West.
Starting Point: The excursion starts from Lake Fiastra, a beautiful artificial lake located at about 700 meters above sea level.
Route: Length: Approximately 7 km round trip.
Duration: 3-4 hours in total, depending on the pace of the group.
Difficulty: Moderate. The route is also suitable for families with children, but still requires a minimum of physical preparation and trekking shoes.
Description of the Route: Lake Fiastra: The path starts from the lake dam and enters the gorges, crossing an enchanting landscape of woods and streams.
Climb to the Lame Rosse: After a flat stretch, the climb towards the Lame Rosse begins. The terrain here becomes steeper and rockier.
The Lame Rosse: Once you reach the Lame Rosse, you will be able to admire these spectacular gully formations of red scale, shaped over time by atmospheric agents.
Useful Tips: Appropriate Clothing: Wear trekking shoes, comfortable clothing in layers, a hat and bring water and a snack with you.
