Si prosegue poi in salita costeggiando le altre cascate verso il paese di Pale per poi riprendere un sentiero affacciato sul paese di Belfiore e sulla valle folignate, inizialmente pianeggiante e nella parte finale costituito da gradini, che ci permetterà di raggiungere l’Eremo di Santa Maria Giacobbe una suggestiva struttura incastonata nella roccia. Si scende per un sentiero in mezzo agli ulivi costeggiando il Fosso delle Cucuruzze in cui è possibile vedere la stratificazione della roccia e in particolare il colore acceso del Rosso ammonitico, visitabile anche da vicino, che ci indica la presenza di fossili. Nuovamente in discesa attraversando un uliveto si raggiungerà rapidamente uno spazio attrezzato dove, per chi vuole, l’aspetterà una bella grigliata con un buon bicchiere di vino.
